Sports Camp by Tanner

I had a great time at Sports Camp. We went to Kara, Togo to have Sports Camp with our friends up there. We stayed at Isaac, Graham and Owen Ries' house.

I especially liked soccer, but this isn't about soccer, this is about baseball. First me and Tay practiced throwing. Then all of us went to batting. My first time at bat, I struck out, but the next time I hit the ball far and then got tagged out at first base.

I really liked the food. The first lunch was pizza. I wish we could have Sports Camp every month.

Our Thanksgiving By Tucker

Sorry about not writing this sooner. Thanksgiving was pretty plain, except for the power going out. We had a play and stuffed ourselves with chicken, dressing, green bean and sweet potato (actually carrot) casseroles and washed it down with iced tea and Kool-aid. The play began with the pilgrims sailing to America on the "Cauliflower . . .wait, no Mayflower". The Indians helped them in the winter and the summer. Then I put on a top hat and said "Four score and seven years ago, our forefathers brought to us a holiday which we haven't recognized. We shall call it Thanksgiving Day." Then my brother, Taylor said, "That there Abraham Lincoln don't know how to proclaim a holiday, so I hereby declare the 4th Thursday in November a holiday." He was pretending to be Franklin Delanor Rosevelt. Taylor, Trevor and I then played the parts of girls in the kitchen. Tanner, Stephen and Matthew were boys on the couch talking while we prepared the Thanksgiving feast. Then we sang a song. That was our Thanksgiving in Togo.
